Romanesque art in Andorra
Romanesque art is the most prominent artistic style in the Principality of Andorra. It is characterized by an extensive legacy that has been preserved to this day in the fields of religious and civil architecture, as well as images and paintings.
Ordino is the parish that has best known how to preserve and respect the natural environment. At an altitude of 1,300 meters, in an area of 85 km2, where 33% of its territory is forest and with a population of about 4,000 inhabitants, the landscape presents itself as a unique value.
In addition, Ordino has recently received the distinction of "Biosphere Reserve" for its good management and conservation of the natural heritage and economic and human development.
Casa Rossell de Ordino has been documented since the 15th century. Throughout the modern period it is one of the five houses with the most important economic and social weight in Andorra and, in Ordino, it is the second house after the Areny-Plandolit house. Joan Antoni Fiter i Rossell (1706-1748) is the best known representative of the Rossell de Ordino family as he is the author of the Manual Digest.

The project has been designed by the French architect Jean-Michel Ruols and is the result of the will of the Comú de Escaldes-Engordany to use the wealth of thermal waters in its territory with a philosophy different from that of traditional spas: thermoludism.
